Heritage sites have an enigmatic aura that separates them from rest of the world. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) identifies, protects and preserves the cultural and natural heritage around the world. These identified sites are revered for their outstanding value to humanity. As of July 2016, there are 35 (27 cultural and 7 natural sites and 1 mixed) World Heritage Sites in India that are recognised by UNESCO. Recently, the 40th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting was held in Istanbul, Turkey. The outcome - 3 Indian sites have made it to this list - a proud moment for our country!

There is a category of explorers whose bucket list is filled with heritage sites from across the globe, are you one of them?
