Valley of Flowers - Uttarakhand

Arrive at the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun or Haridwar railway station and begin your road trip to Haridwar. Check-in to your hotel and in the evening enjoy the enigmatic Ganga Aarti, a ceremony taking place at the scenic location of Har-ki-Pauri. You have rest of the evening to stroll through the culturally vibrant streets and bazaars of Haridwar. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Early morning today, check-out and drive to Auli 280 kms/9 hrs. This is a long, but interesting drive. You will for most part of the journey drive along the Ganga and Alaknanda rivers. En route you will be crossing the holy towns of Rishikesh, Dev Prayag and Rudra Prayag. Overnight at Auli.

Drive to Govindghat, the starting point for your trek. Begin your trek by crossing Alaknanda river over a bridge at Govindghat and from there walking towards the Bhyundar valley through forest area and a few villages. The 14 km trek to reach Ghangria takes around 4-5 hrs. Overnight at Ghangaria.

Start your trek today. It's a delightful and short ascent to the valley. It will take about a couple of hours to reach the valley. There are unending meadows laden with varieties of alpine flowers, network of streams and big mountains all around. At the entrance of the valley, stands the snow-clad peak of Ratban Parvat, towards the left is Nar Parvat, which separates the Badrinath valley from this valley, and to the right is dense Birch forest on the hillsides. You will spend 3-4 hrs exploring different corners & vantage points of the valley and towards late afternoon head back to the camp at Ghangria.

After an energising breakfast, begin your climb to Hemkund Sahib. It is steep at places and will take about 3 - 4 hrs. Hemkund Sahib is a popular Sikh Shrine built next to the beautiful lake. The lake is surrounded by wild flowers with Brahmkamal being the most popular. Pilgrims take a dip in the freezing cold waters of the lake. The hot tea served in the Gurudwara is divine to say the least. We will also visit the Laxman Mandir next to the Gurudwara. In the afternoon, head back to Ghangaria. Overnight in the camp at Ghangaria.

Have your breakfast and trek back to Govindghat. From there, you will be driven for about an hour to reach the beautiful temple town of Badrinath. Situated on the banks of holy Alaknanda and with the backdrop of Neelkanth peak. An ancient temple with hot sulphur water pools and clean air, Badrinath is a wonderful destination to visit. Later in the evening, you will return to your stay in Auli. Overnight at Auli.

After breakfast, drive down to Haridwar 280 kms/9 hrs. Arrive and check in to the hotel. Evening for leisure and relaxation. Overnight stay at the hotel in Haridwar.

In the morning, enjoy breakfast and head to Jolly Grant Airport airport in Dehradun or Haridwar railway station. Your tour Concludes with happy memories which will be cherished forever.
