Halloween

The dark night is nigh, the night of spirits, ghosts, vampires, ghouls, and all monsters that reside in the darkest corner of your nightmares. You’ll see them walking down the streets, partying, and having a ball of a time. Yes, that one night which is dedicated to the creepy creatures, Halloween! Every year, the 31st of October is celebrated as Halloween. A day where you get to dress up, either as a character, or something creepy, and go trick or treating. But if you’re traveling during Halloween, and don’t have the time to make an elaborate costume. Worry not, we have a solution for you. We bring to you 7 easy costumes that are hassle-free and travel friendly, so no need to hesitate before booking your air ticket.

1. Stab yourself in the neck

NOT literally. This is a fairly simple trick. Get your scissors out of your travel pouch and cover the edges up with duct tape, to avoid serious mishaps. Now get gauze and stick it on your neck, using surgical tape. Tape the scissors over it. A little bit of red paint or bright red lipstick over the tape and gauze to give it a realistic feel and you’re ready to paint the town red.

2. The scariest ghost ever

Well, at least the most clichéd. This is the oldest and the easiest costume trick in the book. All you need is a sheet. Cut two holes for your eyes. Wear the sheet, and just like that, you’ll be transformed into a ghost. Yes, it does sound a little simple and juvenile. But it’s old school Halloween costume, plus the best option you’ve got when you’re on a holiday and don’t have time to shop for a costume.

3. Shred Shred Shred

As the title suggests, this costume will require a little sacrifice on your part. There’s bound to be one item in your bag that has been soiled due to your extensive travel. Something that shows extreme wear and tears. Rummage it out of your suitcase, get a pair of scissors, and get to work. Shred-it, though not completely. Snip it enough to make it look ragged as if you’ve just risen from the grave.

4. Face-off

When you travel, cosmetics are not very hard to find. Buy yourself some rich red lipstick, and be grave ready within minutes! A pro tip to being a zombie is to smear and smudge the lipstick to make it look like a really sore wound! Voila! Start zombie-ing around.

5. Hunch bag of Notre dame!

If you’re a backpacker, you’re going to love this one. Grab your backpack, wear really old and loose clothes, strap your backpack, and walk around hunched. When your inspiration is the Hunchback of Notredam itself, your Halloween celebration is bound to be true to what you love doing- travel!

6. When in Rome, scare as the Romans do

Wherever you are, this requires a bit of exploration, a little bit of probing. Visit a local market and indulge a little. Buy some junk jewelry and within seconds- you can be the resurrected hippie tourist! Throw in some bling, and you’re ready to dazzle (and scare) away.

7. Peek-a-boo

Snooze in style this Halloween with this super awesome and super easy trick. It may so happen that you find yourself in flight on the day of Halloween, but that doesn't mean you can't have some fun. Tweak your blinders that are freely available on any airline, and draw some creepy designs of your choice. Better yet, cut holes in them. This way, your co-passenger who thought you were asleep the whole time, will be thoroughly spooked, once he gets a glance of your eyes looking back at him.

Now that we have you covered for Halloween, spook away.
