Morachi Chincholi - Yeh Dil Maange Mor

Around 187 kms away from Mumbai, peacocks and peahen romance in the fields of tamarind. The call of peacocks, sparrows and mynas beckon the morning. I rise up early morning and wait in the veranda of my homestay. It is quiet; the kids next door are still asleep. The chirp of sparrows, mynas and crickets is muddled with the call of peacocks. While it is still quiet, I make it to the terrace to observe the peafowls. Relentless waiting and restless memories swamp my mind. However, suddenly on the ‘Mayur Katta’, a peacock appears and captures all my attention. Here are a few glimpses from my trip to Morachi Chincholi.
