Diwali (or Deepavali), the most popular festival of lights is celebrated across India as the victory of good over evil. In India, places like Jaipur, Amritsar, Varanasi and Mumbai are famous for their grand Diwali celebrations and decorations. But did you know that this festival of lights is celebrated not just in India but across the globe with a lot of enthusiasm too?

Little India is Singapore’s very own recreation of India. Little India is a remarkable little district that feels like India. Open all day until 08:30 pm for darshan, the floor of the temple will be decorated with colourful rangoli (different patterns created on the floor using materials such as colored rice, dry flour, colored sand or flower petals). Snacks will be available all day while the Chopda Pujan will take place in the evening and the celebrations will end with spectacular fireworks.
