The Ministry of Tourism of India has recently launched the ‘Apna Desh Dekho Campaign’ encouraging Indian travelers to take the travel pledge and explore 15 domestic destinations by 2022. The campaign has already received thousands of pledges across the country.
Union Tourism Minister, Prahlad Patel while announcing the campaign at the National Tourism Conference in Odisha stated that the tourism ministry will fund the travel expenses of tourists who will visit 15 Indian destinations and submit the photographs on the official website. The travelers will first have to take the pledge on the official website and will receive a certificate of commitment for the same. To be eligible for this incentive, they will have to travel outside their home states.
