Eligibility criteria for applying for a Hong Kong visa pre-arrival registration
• Applicant must be a holder of an Indian passport valid for at least 6 months.
• Applicant must intend to visit the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) for a stay not exceeding 14 days.
Documents required for Hong Kong Visa pre-arrival registration
• Copy of the first and last page of your passport.
• Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months.
• Traveller details - Name, contact details, occupation, travel dates, and purpose of travel.
When in Hong Kong Visa pre-arrival registration not required
• If you are a holder of a valid Indian diplomatic or official passport.
• If you are a holder of United Nations Laissez-Passer coming to the HKSAR or transiting the HKSAR to/from the third place for official United Nations business.
• If you have successfully enrolled for e-Channel service for Frequent Visitors.
• If you are a holder of a valid HKSAR Travel Pass.
• If you have obtained a valid entry visa for the HKSAR.
• If you are a member of operating aircrew or operating sea crew on board vessels, or a contract seaman, subject to normal immigration requirements being met.
• If you are in direct transit by air and will not leave the airport transit area to enter the HKSAR.

A pre-arrival registration or PAR is valid for 6 months from the date of application for a stay, not more than 14 days.
Before boarding the ship/aircraft/any other mode of transport for Hong Kong, the transport operators will check for your travel document. You must carry the notification slip that is generated post successful pre-arrival registration along with your valid passport. If you aren’t able to produce these two documents or if the details mentioned on them do not match, then you won’t be allowed to board.
Once you’re granted permission to land in Hong Kong, you will be given a landing slip mentioning your name, passport number, and the limit of stay in Hong Kong.
