Maasai Mara

Nestled in the south west of Kenya, the Maasai Mara National Reserve is home to more than 1.5 million wildebeests, thousands of zebras, Nile crocodiles, lions, hippopotami and variety of bird species.

Great Migration

Best time to visit this wildlife enthusiast’s haven is from July to October, the dry season when the weather is cool. It’s also the period when the Great Migration occurs - herds of wildebeests and zebras from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park migrate to the Maasai Mara Reserve in search of food and water. They cross the Mara River where the Nile crocodiles wait to hunt down these wildebeests as they crossover.
