    Your seven day Burma holiday itinerary

    Day1

    Arrive at the Yangon International Airport in Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) and meet our local representative. You will be transferred to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and spend your day at leisure. Yangon features a perfect mix of tradition, culture and modernity along with stunning lakes, parks and impressive scenery. Plan your day as per your choice and unwind for an overnight stay in Yangon.

    Day2

    Have a healthy breakfast and proceed for a Yangon city tour. Start your day with a visit to the Sule Pagoda, a legendary Indian temple built over 2,500 years old. Meander through the lanes of colonial lanes of ancient Yangon as it will give you a reason to observe the local culture of Myanmar. You will pass the Maha Bandula Park and stroll through thr downtown of Yangon. Visit a beautiful post-office before paying a visit to the Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda, well-known for its depiction of the Reclining Buddha statue. Head to explore the China Town and Bogyoke Aung San Market a.k.a Scott Market (closed on Mondays and public holidays) and then the Indian Quarter to seize the different side of the city. Capture one of the most sacred sites in Buddhist culture, Shwedagon Pagoda, which is visible from almost every corner of Yangon. Take in the beautiful sunset views from here. Head back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Yangon.

    Day3

    After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to Yangon International Airport to board your flight to Bagan. The ancient city of Bagan has around 2,200 temples and is of great historical significance. On arrival at Nyaung U Airport in Bagan, get transferred to the hotel and check-in. Relax for some time in your hotel room. Later, go on a stroll at the local Nyaung U Tropical market. You will also catch a glimpse of the temples in and around this area. Gear up to visit the Htilonimlo Temple famed for the famous plaster carvings. The 46-meter high temple has four statues of Buddha facing each direction. Move on to visit the Myinkaba village and see the Gubyaukgyi Temple that has beautiful murals all over its walls and well-preserved plaster carvings. Visit the Bagan House Artistie Lacquerware Workshop to take a look at how the locals make the lacquerware. In the evening, experience a beautiful view of the sunset from a cruise along the Irrawaddy (Ayeyarwady)River. Return back to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay in Bagan.

    Day4

    Kick-start your day with a healthy breakfast and proceed for one incredible journey to Mount Popa. Mount Popa is around 70 kms and one and a half hour away from Bagan. On your road trip, you will come across a palm village. It is best to take a small halt here and see the locals produce the palm sugar jaggery. Continue your road trip to Mount Popa and stop by at Taung Kalat. Taung Kalat is a small volcanic plug towards the southwest of the mighty Mount Popa, also called as Mount Olympus. Legend has it that about 37 Nats (Burmese for spirits) reside on its hilltop. From the top, you will get a stunning panoramic view of Burma. While clicking innumerable photos is not a bad idea at all, we recommend you to pause for a while to just soak in the spiritual vibes. Continue your road journey to reach another religious and colourful city of Salay. Visit Yoke-Sone-Kyaung situated on the eastern bank of Ayeyarwady River. Built in 1882, it is a cultural-heritage site. After an eventful day, spend a comfortable overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

    Day5

    Have a delicious breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Proceed to Nyaung U Airport as you board a flight to Heho. As you arrive in Heho, proceed by road to Nyaung Shwe jetty. Board a motorized boat from here to arrive at Inle Lake. Arrive at the hotel and check-in. Later, get ready for a sightseeing tour of the Inle Lake. Next visit the Inn Paw Khone Village famous for its traditional weaving workshops. Visit Ywama which is a floating village. You will also get an opportunity to visit the Ywama Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, one of the important religious sites in Mynamar. Then visit the Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery along with Se Gaung village and Village of Nam Pan, situated on the stilts over the water. Discover the traditional way of building houses in Inle Lake. Proceed back to the hotel for an overnight stay at Inle Lake.

    Day6

    After breakfast, take a 45-minute boat ride to the Indein ruins. Stroll around the cluster of ancient stupas built during the 8th century. Also, visit the local markets around the shore area. Later, return to the hotel and spend your evening at leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay in the hotel at Inle Lake.

    Day7

    Have a delightful breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Proceed to the Heho Airport and board a flight to Yangon. Proceed for your onward journey back home. Depart with a loaded camera full of beautiful images of Burma and lifelong memories of Burma, officially the Republic of the Union of Mynmar.
