1. Al Qudra Lakes
Al Qudra lakes are one the best and most popular camping sites among tourists. The picturesque lake is home to over 26 species of reptiles and 300 species of birds. You can enjoy a picnic by the series of lakes or cycle around Al Qudra cycling track. Also visit the heart-shaped lake called the Love Lake, it also has the word 'love" spelt out by plants and trees.
2. Acacia Forest
Instead of the usual beaches or dunes, the Acacia forest is a good escape spot. This beautiful and calm place is nestled between the Musandam mountains. A military firing range is located in the vicinity, so look out for restriction signboards.

Also known as 'Empty Quarter' because of its isolated nature, Liwa is a beautiful desert located in Abu Dhabi. You would require an off-road vehicle to drive through the sand dunes to reach there.
