By Air

Numerous convenient international airlines operate regular flights to Queen Alia International Airport, 35 km south of Amman. There are convenient methods to reach downtown Amman, which is by taxi. It takes around 30 to 45 minutes with an approximate fare of 22 JD, roughly Rs 2,541.49 (Indian Rupee). According to preference, visitors can travel via the buses available to depart from the airport every half-hour, and they will take you to the city center bus station.

Taxis

Taxis are affordable and usually the most suitable form of transportation in Jordan. The white-painted provides transportation between designated routes and is shared with other passengers. Private taxis are yellow and have meters.

Car Rental

Jordan has an excellent and expanding road network, and renting cars can be used to explore the country. A driving license valid in your country of origin is adequate, provided it has been valid for at least one year. Driving is right-sided. Road signs on the highways are in Arabic and English. Please note that brown signs indicate a tourist site.

Visa Requirements

In order to enter Jordan, all individuals must obtain an entry visa, which costs approximately 40 JD or INR 4,646.32. This visa can be easily obtained at any airport. For those who require multiple visits within a six-month period, a multiple entry visa is available for approximately 120 JD or INR 13,938.95. This type of visa can be obtained from the embassy or consulate. Some nationalities are required to obtain an entry visa prior to their travel.

Language

The language of Jordan is Arabic, but English is widely communicated, particularly in the cities.

Food

Food is a cornerstone of Jordanian society. Make sure not to leave Jordan without experiencing some of the following: mansaf, magloubeh, falafel, shawarma, famous mezza and knafeh.

Clothing
