For a long stay visa, an applicant can accommodate for more than 90 days. There are various subcategories included in this.

    How to apply for Switzerland visa?

    The Switzerland visa application form is available on the online portal. One has to fill in the form, that will ask your various personal details and the purpose of visit and visa type. All these need to be carefully entered. After filling out the online form, one can pay for the visa fees online through their debit or credit cards. However, online application is acceptable only for short term visa such as tourist, visit or business visa that will not exceed more than 90 days after entering Switzerland. For a longer period of stay, one can submit their forms directly at the responsible Swiss representation.

    What are the Switzerland visa requirements?

    • Passport Photos: Passport photos are required, capturing the whole face. The photo should not be more than 3 months old and captured against a light background.
    • Passport and previous visas copy: Your valid passport, which is valid for three months beyond the date of return is required. The passport must contain at least two blank pages. Airplane tickets: For the provision of visa, the passenger must show proof of the confirmed return tickets from Switzerland. It should contain the details of flight number, date and time of entry and departure.
    • Cover letter: A cover letter needs to be provided that shall state the purpose of the visit, the period of stay and the itinerary involved.
    • Proof of financial status: A proof for the sufficient financial fund available to cater for the mentioned period of accommodation needs to be shown. This can be done by showing the bank balance sheet for three months.
