Fascinating Sarawak

On arrival at Kuching International Airport of Sarawak in Malaysia, meet our representative and proceed to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel in Kuching and get ready for a half-day city tour. As you take the tour, appreciate the buildings and infrastructure of the city. The visit is incomplete if you don't stop by Sarawak Museum at Kuching city. It holds historic collection of specimens like Sarawak fauna, reptiles, mammals and birds. Head back to the hotel for an overnight stay in the hotel at Kuching.

After a healthy breakfast, you now visit the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, located 24 kilometers from the centre of Kuching. This centre has been taking care of 1,000 endangered mammals, birds and reptiles from dozens of different species. Involve in feeding the animals as they come to you for a free meal. Proceed to Sarawak Cultural Village, known as ‘living museum’ which features the region’s cultural heritage. After a full-flavored lunch, capture the ethnic diversity of art, music and food of Sarawak village. Also enjoy the multicultural dance performances in the village-owned theatre of Sarawak. Head back to the hotel in Kuching for an overnight stay.

After the breakfast, we drive approximately 35 minutes to Bako Village followed by a twenty five minute boat ride to the Bako National Park. You might get an opportunity to spot a proboscis monkey, a long nosed mammal that can easily be identified for its uniqueness. Apart from this, you can also explore the rare characteristics of cliff vegetation, beach vegetation, and mangrove forest. Also spot saltwater crocodiles as they live both in the mangroves and river. We return to Kuching City in the afternoon. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Note: The schedule of Bako National Park tour depends on the tide and sea condition. Duration of this tour during the wet season (November - February) takes approximately 5 hours as it is necessary to leave the park depending on sea conditions.

After a hearty breakfast, we check-out of the hotel and drive to Lubok Antu. On the way, we stop at the Lachau Bazaar, browse around the shops and have lunch at a local coffee shop. Proceed to Batang Ai Lake for peace and serenity. Catch the ferry for the hotel and check-in. Spend the rest of your day at leisure. Enjoy a relaxed overnight stay at the hotel in Lubok Antu.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and get ready for a ride on a longboat to proceed to Mengkak Longhouse. Experience the local customs and culture with their traditional rituals, dance and food. After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and head to Kuching International Airport to take a flight to Miri. On arrival at Miri, proceed for a city tour to experience the streets with stalls that display jungle plants, Chinese temples and the fish markets. Then visit the popular Grand Old Lady monument, the first oil well in Malaysia. Then adjacent to it is the Petroleum Museum that displays photographs and information about the petroleum industry. Check-in at the hotel and spend the overnight in Miri.

After breakfast, we start the day with a scenic drive to Niah National Park, one of Sarawak's most important national parks. The oldest modern human remains discovered in South East Asia were found at Niah. We then visit the Lambir National Park. It is a small park featuring excellent biodiversity. Observe the variety of interesting plants, tall trees and multiple varieties of birds. You can also enjoy a dip at the near-by waterfall. Arrive at the park headquarters, obtain a permit and then start your trek inside the short jungle. You can also swim in the cool waters in the park. Head back to Miri for an overnight stay at the hotel.

After a healthy breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed to the Miri Airport to take the flight back home. Depart with beautiful memories of Sarawak.
