What is Zorbing?
Zorbing, also known as globe-riding, sphering, and orbing, is a recreational sport that involves rolling down a beveled turf inside a large see-through ball made of plastic. Sometimes its also performed on water, this act is commonly referred to as ‘water walking’. Originating in New Zealand, Zorbing is sort of a ‘relaxed’ sport where participants don’t need to put in too much effort.
How to do Zorbing?
In case you have your own Zorb ball, you must first inflate it carefully. Then, you just have to get into the ball and attach yourself to it with the help of a harness if available. If you’re partaking in the traditional way of zorbing downhill, you just have to lean forward and try pushing it down the slope. Normally, all zorb balls have two openings to get in and out of the orb. This also serves as a passage for oxygen, so don’t worry about how to breathe once inside.
Zorbing Tips
- Ensure that the area where you will be zorbing is clear of any obstructions.
- As a beginner, always opt for a zorb ball that has a harness attached to it for minimal impact.
- In case you’re trying out Aqua Zorbing, remember that the combined weight of all the participants should not exceed 180 Kgs.
- You’ll have to pass up on the sport if you suffer from motion sickness. Even otherwise, remember to eat light on that day so that you don’t feel sick from all the tumbling.
Best Time to Go Zorbing
