    Best Time to Visit

    Jordan faces extremes of temperature and hence some months are better suited for visits than others. Despite its small size, it sees a great climatic variation.

    • March - May: These are the best months to visit Jordan as it’s the time of spring. The weather is warm but not scorching and the country is adorned with wild flowers. The low clear skies make for an interesting play of lights on the desert rocks and sand. It is best for hiking, wildflowers, and experiencing local culture during Ramadan.
    • June - August: Summer is sizzling hot throughout Jordan, with temperatures peaking in August. The heat is at its peak and the weather is hot and dry. If you happen to travel to Jordan during these months it is advisable to stay indoors and nap for a while during the afternoon time as the sun is at its strongest. It is best for festivals and smaller crowds.
    • September - November: Autumn is a prime time to visit Jordan. As there’s a shift from scorching summers to the cool winters. If you happen to visit Jordan during this time you’ll catch the transitioning climate which is cool and pleasant. It is best for spending time along the coast, diving and hiking.
    • December - February: This is the time of winter and Jordan is chilly and nail-bitingly cold. The days are short and the nights are long and cold. Jordan experiences snowfall, which gives the city a beautiful look. It is best for small crowds, empty beaches and enjoying Jordanian hospitality.
