Bhalukpong – Dirang
Morning after breakfast, drive to Dirang (4,910 ft). En route, visit the Tippi Orchid Centre. Arunachal Pradesh, known as the ‘Orchid Paradise’, is famed for having the largest variety of orchids in India. The Orchidarium at Tipi houses over 500 varieties of orchids found across the state. It is a premier institute for orchid research and development under the State Forest Research Institute (Department of Environment and Forests, Arunachal Pradesh). Evening at leisure.

Dirang – Tawang
Morning after breakfast, drive to Tawang (10,000 ft). En route, witness the scenic Dirang Valley, famous for its monasteries, hot springs, apple and kiwi orchards, sheep breeding farms, and charming landscapes. Also visit the snow-capped Sela Pass (13,700 ft), Jaswant Garh War Memorial, and Jung Falls.

Day04

Tawang
Tawang, ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’, located at an altitude of 3,500 meters, offers unparalleled natural beauty. After breakfast, visit Tawang Monastery, Urgelling Monastery, Ani Gompa, and P.T. Tso Lake. Tawang Monastery, also known as “Galden Namgyel Lhatse”, is one of the largest monasteries of the Mahayana sect in Asia and the largest in India. The 400-year-old monastery houses an 18-foot-high statue of Lord Buddha and stands at 10,000 ft overlooking the Tawang Chu Valley amidst the Himalayan ranges. Urgelling Monastery, located 5 km from Tawang town, is the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, born in the 17th century. The monastery was established by Lama Urgen Sangpo in the 15th century. A visit to Monpa village offers insight into the local lifestyle, culture, and traditions. These villages are set amidst stunning natural surroundings. Later, visit the War Memorial, which commemorates the bravery of Indian soldiers in the Indo-China War of 1962. In the evening, witness the light and sound show. Overnight stay in Tawang.

Tawang-Bomdila
Morning drive to Bomdila. Bomdila is a picturesque town in the foothills of the Himalayas and the headquarters of West Kameng district, situated at an altitude of 8,500 ft. On a clear day, one can enjoy stunning views of the snow-clad Gorichen ranges. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
