Guidenlines:
- Fixed flight timings: This helicopter tour follows fixed daily departure schedules for each destination. Passengers must strictly adhere to the designated Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) each day. Failure to comply will result in the passenger being marked as a NO-SHOW. The final and accurate flight timings will be shared one day before the Yatra.
- Passengers' weight: Passengers must provide their accurate body weight at the time of booking. If a discrepancy is found during travel that causes the total aircraft weight to exceed the limit of 450 kg, the affected passenger(s) will be de-boarded, and their Heli-tour will be cancelled—no refunds will be provided in such cases. Mandatory weighing will be conducted before boarding. If the actual weight exceeds the declared weight at the time of booking, boarding will be denied. Additionally, we reserve the right to reshuffle passengers to ensure optimal weight distribution for safe flying conditions in the hills.
- Overweight charges: Per Seat Basis Only - Excess weight charges for the Char Dham helicopter tour are fixed at ₹2,000 per kilogram, applicable to passengers whose body weight exceeds 75 kg. In case of any discrepancy in the declared weight, charges based on the excess weight will apply. The applicable amount will be collected either at the hotel prior to the day of departure or at the helipad before flight boarding.
- Baggage allowance: Only 5 Kg baggage per passenger will be permitted. Passengers are advised not to carry big suitcases as there is very small baggage space inside the helicopter. Passengers bringing excess baggage might not be allowed to take the same in the chopper by pilot. To address this, our staff provides duffle bags to all passengers during briefing. The total baggage allowance is determined based on the group’s combined body weight. If the total exceeds the permissible limit of 450 kg, excess luggage will be transported by road, and the additional cost will be shared among all passengers in that helicopter.
- Infant: Children above the age of 2 years will be considered full ticket. Infants below 02 Yrs /12 Kg are carried free of charge. In case of verification of age, ID proof (Birth certificate) of the child shall be checked.
- Bad Weather & Force Majeure Disclaimer: Helicopter operations in hilly terrain are highly susceptible to unpredictable factors such as adverse weather conditions and various Force Majeure events. These may include delayed Air Traffic Control clearances or permissions, VVIP movements, valley flying restrictions issued by the Indian Air Force (NOTAM), unexpected technical issues in the aircraft, illness of the flying crew, and late reporting of passengers at helipads, among other unforeseen circumstances. Passengers are advised to remain prepared for potential delays and inconveniences caused by these uncontrollable factors. We strongly recommend that guests plan for an additional buffer day in Dehradun beyond the standard 05N/06D tour duration. This precautionary measure ensures flexibility in case of severe weather conditions or other disruptions that may lead to a tour extension.
- Medical emergencies: Company shall not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the party, and thus advises guests to get a fitness certificate from a doctor to travel to the high-altitude sector. The Company reserves the right to refuse to carry any person whom it considers unfit for travel or who, in the opinion of the Company, may constitute a risk to the helicopter or to the persons on board. No refund shall be made to such passenger(s).
- COVID Travel Guidelines: All passengers and staff must strictly adhere to COVID protocols as mandated by prevailing government guidelines. Failure to comply may result in denial of boarding, and no refunds will be issued in such instances.
- Aadhar Card copies are to be shared by all Indian passengers, & passport in case of foreign nationals.
- Any donations, tips, pitthu, palki/pony and porter charges shall be borne by the passengers.
- The company has its own crew at all the Dham's. For any guidance or assistance, Passengers are free to reach out to them.
- Network connectivity at Badrinath is very poor. BSNL & Jio are the main telecom services that work in these regions, mostly, but not always. However, our staff shall be with the passengers for assistance at all times.
- Passengers are advised to carry a small oxygen bottle with them as a precaution. It is available locally at all medical shops.
- Although day temperatures at these locations are normal, it becomes cold at night, and so passengers must carry woollen clothes with them.
