What is the difference between a ‘Twin room’ and a ‘Double room’?
A ‘Twin room’ will have 2 separate single or queen sized beds while a ‘Double room’ will have one king size bed.

Will there be any additional charges for our children staying with us in the same hotel room?
While searching for hotels, select the number of children travelling with you in the drop-down box. If you want an extra bed in the room for your child, you have to add the child as an adult in the hotel search page, thus searching for 3 adults and 1 room. If you just select 1 child and 2 adults in 1 room, our search results will show you the price of a double room with child excluding an extra bed.

Can I book more than three adults in one room?
Few hotels do allow more than three adults as per the room category and hotel policy. However, you may have to book an additional room(s) if the hotel doesn’t allow more than three adults. If you any query, check directly with your hotel for their extra-guest charges and the maximum number of people allowed in the room you have booked.

I have made a hotel room booking. What happens next?
Once the hotel room booking and payment process is completed, we will send across a confirmation email (on the email address you have registered while making the booking). Please take a print out of the confirmed hotel voucher and present it at the hotel counter during the check-in.

Should I re-confirm my booking with the hotel?
No. Once you receive your confirmed hotel reservation voucher, you don’t have to re-confirm the booking. However, if you really want to, simply call us at 022 4164 2214 or email us at packages@in.musafir.com to re-confirm your hotel booking.

Do I need to show any documents to check-in at the hotel?
It is mandatory to show your government approved valid ID proof while checking-in at the hotel. The valid IDs accepted at the hotel are Driving License, Voters ID, Passport or even ration card. Please note: Pan Cards are not accepted as valid ID proof. For foreign nationals, your passport will be accepted as valid ID proof.
You also have to carry a copy of your confirmed hotel voucher which Musafir.com India has emailed you after the completion of your payment process.

Can I do early/late check-in/out at the hotel?
The standard check-in/out time in hotels is 12 noon. However, there are some hotels who allow early check-in or late check-out depending on the availability of the room. In some cases, the hotel may charge you for one day extra for early check-in or late check-out.

Since you have a confirmed hotel reservation, the hotel will hold your room until evening of your scheduled arrival date.

I want to change/amend my hotel booking?
Sorry but you cannot make changes/amendments or modifications to your confirmed hotel bookings. You have to cancel the existing hotel booking and make a new one. Please don’t call the hotel directly for changes or cancellations of the booking. The hotel cannot make changes or process your refunds for the specially-negotiated room rates.

We strongly recommend that you check the hotel’s booking policy mentioned on the booking page while making your reservation. However, you cannot cancel your hotel booking on the day that you are scheduled to check-in at the hotel.

What are the hotel room cancellation charges?
The hotel room cancellation charges depends on your selected hotel type, room, time of stay (off-season, peak season) and the time of cancellation. Please check your hotel’s booking policy on the booking page to know more.
In case, the hotel room cancellation request is received less than 24 hours before your scheduled check-in at the hotel than one night hotel room charges will be applied as cancellation charges. Furthermore, if you have availed any discounts or special rates through promo codes or discount vouchers, the cancellation charge will be applied on the actual room price and not on the discounted price.

I didn’t check-in at the hotel at all, will I get a refund?
You will not be entitled to a refund ad you will be considered as a ‘no-show’ by the hotel.

How can I get my money back after cancelling my confirmed hotel booking?
Once the booking is cancelled, the refund amount will be credited back to your account (the same account from which the booking was made).

How soon will I get my refund after the cancellation?
The refund amount will at least take 7 to 10 working days to show in your account. Please note that your bank may debit separate charges from refunds made to your credit card or bank account.
