    Founded in 1988, Asian Airlines is one of the major airlines in South Korea. The airline is a privately owned company. It operates from its two hubs - Gimpo International Airport and Incheon International Airport. Its focus cities are Gimhae International Airport and Jeju International Airport.

    Asiana Airlines offers services by class which include First Suite Class, First Class, Business Smartium Class, Business Class, Economy Smartium and Economy Class.

    The First Suite Class provides excellent facilities including a 32-inch personal TV monitor (the first time on an airline), sliding doors for privacy, 210 Cm flat bed and a companion seat apart from the normal services reserved for such classes such as special meals, satellite phone, power supply and seat controls.

    Other classes of travel have services commensurate with the price paid for the class and are quite comprehensive and include satellite phone, power supply and seat controls.

    Baggage rules are fairly exhaustive covering a wide range of allowances based on aircraft, flight route, booking class, physical condition of passengers, status of passengers and frequent flyer status.

    Generally, 1 piece of handbag weighing up to 8 Kg is allowed as carry-on baggage for economy class passengers and 2 pieces of handbags weighing 8 Kg each for business class passengers. There is a size restriction.

    Checked in baggage is restricted to 1 piece weighing up to 23 Kg for economy class passengers and 2 pieces weighing up to 32 Kg for business class passengers. There is a size restriction. Excess baggage would be charged extra and no passenger can carry more than 32 Kg per ticket.

    The frequent flyer program run by Asian Airlines is known as Asiana Club. As a member of the club the flyer earns Asiana Club Miles. Miles can be earned when flying with Asian Airlines partners. Member can graduate to Platinum level by passing through Silver, Gold, Diamond, Diamond Plus levels. The Miles earned can be redeemed for flights or upgrades.
