    Air Asia India formed a syndicate with Tata and Telstra Tradeplace and ventured in the Indian aviation industry. It became the first foreign airline to benefit from Indian government’s quota for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Its main hub lies is in Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The no-frills carrier launched its maiden flight on Bengaluru – Goa route on June 12, 2014.
