One word that truly describes UK is its diversity. Diversity in terms of landscape, culture and appeal. Comprising of islands of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United Kingdom has plenty to offer to those who visit this great nation. UK is where the past comes to life with royal castles, ancient ruins, and medieval citadels. The island country is blessed with vast expanses of lush fields on the countryside and the most voguish clubs and popular theatre in the city area.
If you’re planning a holiday with your friends or family to the United Kingdom, here’s what you need to know while applying for a 2 years tourist visa.
Fees:
The visa processing fee for a tourist visa for 2 years is Rs. 32,500 per applicant. This includes multiple entry into the country, consulate fees, service charges and other taxes.
Documents Required:
- Original passport as well as a few scanned copies (colour) of old passports if any. Make sure that your passport has a validity of at least 6 months from the travel date along with a few blank pages for visa stamping.
- A duly filled visa application form along with the signature of the applicant as per guidelines.
- 5 recent, passport size photographs taken against a white backdrop with a matte finish showing 80% of the applicant’s face. Remember to avoid wearing any accessories such as hats, sunglasses, scarves, etc. that may hide the applicant’s neck or face.
- A covering letter stating name, passport number, designation, purpose of visit, and stay duration, and signature of the applicant. In case the applicant is self-employed, this letter must be written on a letter head of the company.
- Income tax returns for the past three years.
- Bank statement indicating the transaction details of the last 6 months. This should be signed and attested by a bank administrator.
- If the applicant is running a business, then he/she will need to produce a company registration certificate or certificate of incorporation along with income tax documents of his/her own company of the last three years and bank statements of the last 6 months.
- If the applicant is employed at an organization, he/she will need to produce the salary slips of the past three months and a leave letter from his/her employer.
