The Lengpui Airport of Aizawl is the only medium of air travel to the state of Mizoram. Established back in the year 1995, this airport act as the gateway to the hundreds and thousands of tourists who frequent the state in order to explore its magnificent landscapes and other exhilarating attractions.
Owned and operated by the Mizoram State Government, this airport houses a single terminal. Essentially a domestic airport, the airport’s terminal boasts of a passenger holding capacity of 120 each for arrivals as well as for departures.
The only direct flights arriving at this airport are directed from Guwahati, New Delhi, and Kolkata, of which Guwahati and Kolkata are the most frequented destinations from the airport. The airport is served by some of the most prominent domestic airlines including Air India and Jet Airways. The airport also enjoys Pawan Hans helicopter services, and North East Shuttle services.
