Located in the state of Uttarakhand, in Udham Singh Nagar district, the Pantnagar Airport is owned and operated by the Airport Authority of India. The airport essentially serves numerous tourist destinations such as Bhimtal, Almora, Ranikhet, Jim Corbett National park and Kumaon Hill Station all of which are in close proximity to it.
The airport enjoyed only a modest capacity in the initial years. However, after its upgradation in the year 2015, it can now avail operations for turboprop aircraft. Housing a single terminal, the airport caters to domestic flights only. It is equipped with a passenger holding capacity of 20 for departures and that of 50 for arrivals. Spanning over an area of 350 sqm. m. the airport offers all the modern day amenities required for the convenience of passengers.
The Pantnagar Airport offers connectivity to all the major cities of the nation, through prominent airlines including Air India and Alliance Air.
