Dharamsala Airport

    Also known as the Kangra Airport, the Dharamsala airport is located in an area called Gaggal, at a distance of 8 km from Kangra. Essentially a civil enclave, the airport also serves as a base for the Indian Air Forces.

    Spanning over an area of 1,269 acres, the airport is situated at a height of 2,492 feet above the sea level. Housing a single terminal, the airport is equipped to handle a maximum of 100 passengers at any given time, for departures as well as for arrivals, respectively.

    The airport is also home to an Asphalt runway which spans 1,372 metres in length, along with an apron which avails parking space for 2 turboprop aircraft.

    The airport enjoys a commendable connectivity to the capital city of New Delhi, via prominent carriers like Air India Regional, Air India and SpiceJet. It also enjoys indirect flight services to a large number of important cities across the nation.
