Also known as the Dumna Airport, the civil airport of Jabalpur is located at a distance of 25 km from the city centre.
Spread over a modest are of 310 acres, this airport is slated to undergo extensive renovation and expansion. To this effect, the Airports Authority of India has also approved an additional land area of 350 acres. The renovation will primarily comprise of a new terminal building, extended runway and modernisation of the airport.
Currently, the airport houses a single terminal, which is equipped with all the modern amenities, along with the passenger holding capacity of 75 for arrivals as well as departures. Served by prominent domestic airlines such as Air India, Spice Jet, and Ventura Air Connect, this airport offers impressive connectivity with almost all the major cities across the nation, with Delhi and Mumbai being the most frequented ones.
