Owned and operated by the Airport Authority of India, the Khajuraho airport is located at a distance of 3 km from the city centre in the Chattarpur District. Essentially a civil aerodrome, this airport serves the UNESCO world heritage site of Khajuraho known for its magnificent temples and historical sculptures. While the airport was established back in the year 1978, it received it new terminal only in the year 2016.

With as many as 5 check-in counters and 3 security counters, the airport has all the modern-day amenities to cater to the needs of its passengers. It also houses a 2,274-metre long Asphalt runway.
