Located at a distance of about 5 km from the city centre, the Porbandar Airport is essentially a public airport but also boasts of a military presence thanks to the INAS 343 of the Indian Navy along with CGAE Porbandar of the Indian Coast Guard.
The airport underwent a massive renovation, after which its newly built terminal was inaugurated in the year 2008. Spanning over an area of 4,000 metres, the single terminal of this airport features one boarding gate. Equipped with are 6 check-in counters and 1 security counter, the airport offers a wide array of amenities for the convenience of its passengers. The terminal enjoys a passenger handling capacity of 100 each, for arrivals as well as for departures.
The airport is currently served by only one prominent airline, that is, Jet Airways, which offers direct flight services to Mumbai. It also boasts of indirect connectivity to various cities of importance across the nation.
