Mosques

It is to be noted that both men and women entering any mosque are modestly dressed. Women should wear garb that completely covers them, and cover their head with a scarf. Due respect to culture and religion is just a small way of giving back to Dubai for its heart-warming hospitality.

Jumeirah Mosque

Dubai’s skyline is crammed with high-rise buildings whose monotony is thankfully interrupted by the graceful minarets of the Jumeirah Mosque. Being the most photographed mosque in entire Dubai, guided tours to get an insight into the Islamic culture are offered to tourists. This is the only mosque in Dubai that allows non-Muslims in the mosque.

Grand Mosque, Dubai

Boasting Dubai’s tallest minaret, the Grand Mosque stays true to its name. In the yesteryears, Grand Mosque was the home to Quranic school were teachings from Quran were recited and learned by heart. Non-Muslims are permitted only up to the minaret where they are allowed to take photographs.

Iranian Mosque, Satwa

Dubai Evangelical Church Centre

Born as a place of worship for expatiates, the Dubai Evangelical Church Centre is the main place of assembly for over 50 nationalities every Friday morning.

Temples

Hindu Temple, Dubai

Locally referred to as the Shiva and Krishna Mandir, this is the only Hindu temple in the UAE. The main sanctum houses Lord Shiva and Krishna's deities and has several other paintings of Hindu Gods and Goddesses like Ganesha, Durga, and Lakshmi.

Gurudwara

Gurunanak Darbar

Serving the entire Sikh community of UAE, Gurunanak Darbar is regarded as the first official temple of the Gulf. The Gurudwara adorns a carpeted prayer hall and has three rooms for private functions, a meditation hall, and a library. There is also a huge langar hall for a community feast.
