Treat life like a ferris wheel
Singapore Flyer

Experience the ultimate flyer feels aboard the Singapore Flyer and get the right to brag of having been on the ‘world’s largest giant observation wheel’. (outside the USA)!

Just like the London Eye of the United Kingdom, the Singapore Flyer is an architectural wonder that is not easy to miss. Located right next to Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay, this is one giant Ferris Wheel that is on every traveller’s wish list. Singapore tour package will definitely give you an insight into the modern city.

How to reach Singapore Flyer

Nearest Bus Stop: B02101 (Serviced by Bus 1N, 2N, 3N, 4N, 5N, 6N, 56, 75, 77, 97, 97E, 171, 195, 960 and 961.

Nearest MRT Station: Promenade MRT (CC4)

Before commencing your flight from level 2 (after collecting your tickets), do explore the built-in rainforest area which occupies the entire central atrium of the main terminal building on ground level. Apart from providing respite from the heat, the area features lush vegetation, cascading water displays, streams and rocky outcrops making a backdrop for memorable photographs.

After the short stroll in the rainforest atrium, head to level 2 to catch your ride. On the way, you will come across few other attractions which you can indulge in – like Fish Spa, Singapore’s first real flight simulator experience, a 6D motion ride – again the first in Singapore, dining and much more.

Riding high!

Flying High

Before the ride, you will pass through a security check which stimulates a real airport experience. Later, pass through a futuristic art gallery ‘Journey of Dreams’ featuring the story behind Singapore and Singapore Flyer. Proceed further to the aero-bridge to board your flight - one of the capsules of Singapore Flyer. With a capacity of about 28 people per capsule, there is enough space for every visitor to move around or sit comfortably throughout the ride. Confining of transparent viewing box, each capsule provides a stunning view of Singapore’s skyline. The entire journey lasts about half an hour providing ample time to capture photographs and memories. As the wheel turns, get ready to be treated to a visual 360° feast of iconic and historical landmarks and views from the Marina Bay to the Singapore River, Raffles Place, Merlion Park, Empress Place and the Padang. You will also be able to spot parts of Malaysia and Indonesia (if you are good at directions and geography).

Tips from a Musafir:

i. If you are susceptible to fear of heights, motion sickness or vertigo, do take your medication or any other preventive steps to enjoy the ride.

ii. Though the ride is slow with no jerks or sudden movements, it goes pretty ‘high’ literally (till the height of a 42-storey building)!

iii. Board the capsule which has fewer people to get the best photographs and place to sit.

iv. Keep at least 2 hours in hand to enjoy all the attractions and activities at Singapore Flyer

v. If you are travelling with kids, do try the MegaZip, Flight Stimulator and 6D motion ride – they will enjoy it more than the Singapore Flyer!
