How To Apply for Philippines Visa

As in the case of any other international destination, Indian Nationals need to procure a valid visa, before they enter the Philippines. Let us take a closer look at the details of how to apply for Philippines Visa.

An important thing to note in this context is that Indian passport holders with a valid visa for United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore or the United Kingdom are offered a 14-day visa free entry. This entry can even be extended for 7 days, up to a maximum of 21 days. This rule holds valid for Schengen Visa holders as well. It however cannot be converted to any other visa category. Such visa-free entry is allowed from all major international ports as well as hubs. It can also be availed at seaports for travellers arriving via cruise ships or vessels.

    Documents:

For travellers who are not eligible for visa-free entry, the following documents are required -

    • A passport that holds valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of departure from the Philippines.
    • Duly filled Visa application form signed by the applicant.
    • Onward ticket to the next intended destination.
    • A passport-sized photograph in hard copy, not more than six months old.
    • A copy of confirmed hotel reservations for the entire duration of stay.
    • For applicants who are employed, a certificate of employment issued by the employer, with the complete contact details of the employer must be submitted. The certificate must also contain details of the salary of the applicant.
    • In case the applicant is self-employed, he/she is required to submit the copy of the registration of the business.
    • For applicants who are minors, the documents of their parent or their legal guardian must be submitted in order to present a proof of income and financial capacity.
    • Covering letter complete with details such as the name of the traveller, his/her designation, passport information, information regarding the duration as well as the purpose of visit. The letter must be duly signed by the applicant. In case the applicant is an employee in an organisation, the covering letter must be written on a plain paper. For self-employed applicants, the covering letter should be written on the letter head of their company.
    • A clean record at the Bureau of Immigration (BI), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), or International Police (INTERPOL).
