Like all other modern-day airlines, even Finnair offer the much desired Web Check-In Facility to its passengers.
About The Service
Finnair Web Check In is a facility that can be easily availed by anyone who has a confirmed reservation with the carrier. In order to avail the service, all that you need to do is visit the official website of the airline, and select the ‘Online Check-In’ option. That being done, you should follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details. You will be required to enter your e-Ticket Number or Booking Reference or even your Finnair Plus Membership Number in order to avail the service. During this process, you can select your preferred seat. When completed, your boarding pass will be issued. The service is meant to reduce the time taken for a person to board the flight after entering the airport.
The service can be used via a wide variety of devices, right from laptops and desktops to smartphones and tablets, thus ensuring ease of access. One must, however, remember that the boarding pass issued online must be carried to the airport in print.
Please note that this facility is not available for passengers with special needs.
Time Window
The Finnair Web Check In facility is meant to be used anywhere between 24 hours to 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure of the flights.
Baggage
If you’ve completed the web check-in formalities, Finnair baggage rules allow you to drop your check-in luggage, if any, at the designated area and head straight to the security counter. In case you have no check-in bags, you can simply head out for the security check and board your flight.
