With Covid cases slowly dropping by the day, some countries have eased out travel restrictions for India. A few countries have opened their door for Indian passport holders to travel to their countries relying on covid test reports, vaccinations and quarantine requirements.

Also keep in mind that quarantine and covid tests may be required upon return to India, depending upon the destination you are travelling back from.

Here is a list of Countries that are accepting Visa applications from Indians -

1. UAE

Categories open: Tourist visa and Business visa

2. Switzerland

Categories open: Tourist visa and Business visa

Travellers that provide a COVID vaccination certificate or who have recovered from COVID-19 will be permitted to enter Switzerland without having to be tested or quarantined. Other travellers must present a negative PCR test or rapid antigen test and quarantine on entry

3. Croatia

Categories open: Tourist visa and Business visa

Those travelling to Croatia from India have to undergo a 7-day quarantine period and take a test on the last day. If the test result is negative the quarantine period ends.

4. Saudi Arabia

Categories open: Business visa, Family visit visa, Residents visa, and Employment visa

Indian passport holders with a valid US, UK or Schengen visa, will be offered visa-on-arrival in Saudi Arabia if travelling by the Saudi national carrier for tourism. These travellers must have visited the visa-issuing country before landing at any Saudi airport via a Saudi air carrier.

5. Bangladesh

Categories open: Employment visa, A3 visa, E1 visa, FE visa(Dependent visa)

6. Morocco

Categories open: Business visa

Morocco is currently accepting visa applications for business purposes only.

7. Iceland

Categories open: Tourist visa (Short-stay)

Travellers need to provide proof of previous infection and recovery or a COVID vaccination certificate (Covishield) to be exempted from providing a negative PCR-test result. All travellers must undergo a COVID screening upon arrival, without any exceptions. Travellers will also be required to undergo a five-day quarantine takes a test five days later. If that test result is negative, the quarantine period ends.

8. Norway

9. The Netherlands

As of July 1, 2021, fully vaccinated travellers are allowed entry to the Netherlands for any purpose. Covid-19 vaccine declaration needs to be submitted along with the visa application.

10. Canada

Categories open: Tourist visa and Business visa

Though direct flights to Canada from India are suspended until July 21, 2021, Canada visa application centres have started the passport submission service in a phased manner from July 5, 2021. Public Health Agency of Canada tweeted last week, "Fully vaccinated travellers allowed to enter Canada may be exempted from federal quarantine and day 8 testing starting July 5. Only vaccines approved by the Government of Canada will be accepted."
