After the submission of application, the applicants are assigned a set date and time on which they are entitled to meet the PSK officer for the verification of documents so that work of passport can be accomplished. If the applicant for any reason cannot visit the Passport Seva Kendra should either cancel the meeting or reschedule the meeting. However, the cancellation or rescheduling of the appointment can be done only two times in the year in which the first date of appointment was allotted.

What is the procedure?
The procedure to be followed in case the appointment is needed to be rescheduled:
- You need to visit the official website of PSK and login.
- There is a tab titled ‘view saved/submitted applications and then select the option’ Schedule Appointment’.
- Then the option either to cancel or reschedule the appointment will occur, select as per your requirements.
- Thereafter you select the reschedule option you will need to select the desired PSK for the next appointment and click the option ’Next’.
- Then a list of dates on which the appointments can be taken is presented and as per your convenience select the next date and book your appointment.
- After the completion of above steps, the previous appointment will get cancelled.
- Appointment confirmation screen will appear with the option to print the application receipt tab. This print will be required to be taken at the date of appointment to the PSK.
Important points to remember
It is a not a good gesture to cancel or reschedule the appointment and the reason for so will be questioned by the officials. Applicants when visit the PSK on the new date a valid reason should be furnished for the rescheduling of the appointment.
