Student Passport

    Student passport is for those students who wish to go abroad for further education. A number of students from India go to foreign countries to acquire knowledge and skill sets which can help them in getting their dream job.

    NOTE - We are currently providing passport assistance/service for Mumbai-based issuance only.

    Who can apply?

    • In case of minors, consent of parents is required.
    • Present address proof in the name of parent can be submitted
    • Parents can attest the documents for minor applicant
    • In case parents have passports, they can carry original along with self-attested copies of them to the PSK.
    • Minors are eligible to have a Non-ECR (Emigration Check Required) till he/she is below 18 years of age.
    • Students above the age of 18 are treated as adults and need not the consent of parents and can self attest their own documents.

    Required Documents

    The applicant needs to fill the complete passport application form available on the website. Pay the required fee, after which an appointment is scheduled. Candidate needs to produce the given list of documents at PSK.

      Address Proof

    • Latest telephone bill
    • Voter ID card
    • Latest utility bill-electricity, water bill
    • Photo Passbook of Bank Account (Authorised under RBI)
    • Aadhar card
    • Rental Agreement
    • Income tax assessment order

      Proof of Date of Birth

      Anyone of the following documents:

    • Birth certificate issued by municipal authority
    • Secondary school certificate issued by recognized board
    • Along with the documents mentioned above, students applying for a passport may also be required to provide the following documents:

    • Student ID card
    • Bonafide certificate (Issued by college)

    Important Things to Remember

    Applicant has to make an online payment of Rs. 1,500 approx. for a fresh passport while booking for an appointment through Passport Service Kendra. Payment can be done through following channels

    • Internet banking
    • SBI Challan
    • Debit Card
    • Credit Card

    Additional Information

    Passport holder can renew his passport only after the completion of ten years (expiration period) and you are not allowed to renew it before in any manner.
