Types of Dubai visa

    Different Types of Dubai Visa 

    Are you in the process of applying for Dubai Travel Visa, then you should first know the different types of visas that are available?

    1. Tourist Visa 30 days: This visa is valid for 58 days and you can travel in Dubai for 30 days from the date of your entry. It usually gets processed within 3-4 days, but if you chose express tourist visa it can be done in 48 hours but then the price you will pay for it will be more.
    2. Transit Visa: Transit visa is valid for 30 days from the date of it being issued. It will allow the visitors to roam around Dubai for 96 hours from the time of entry into Dubai.
    3. Leisure 90 days Single Entry Visa: Valid for 58 days from the date of being issued, it allows the visitor to travel around UAE for 90 days from the date of entry.
    4. eVisa: You can get your visa through online process and after its approval it’s copy will be sent to the e-mail address. One can also apply for visit visa for family, friends, relatives or workers. This is valid for 3 months after the entry. If the sponsor is not along with the family member then GCC Citizen- Accompanies will not be approved.
    5. Multiple Entry Visa: It could be long term i.e. 90 days or short term i.e. 30 days, depending on your requirement. It is valid for said number days from the date of first entry in Dubai.
    6. Visit Visa: Valid for 90 days from the date of entering into Dubai or UAE.If you are planning to visit a family member or are on extended vacations then this is the visa to look for.

    Consequences of Overstaying

    Though it is very rare case but if in any scenario your stay exceeds the visa expiration date then a fine will be taken for the days that you have overstayed there. The fine will be collected at the immigration office or at the airport before leaving the country. Some of the consequences of overstaying are:

    • Your name can be blacklisted.
    • They could impose an immigration ban on you and your family.
    • Deportation maybe given.
    • You could even land up a jail term of 3 months.

    In case you have gotten employed by any company during your stay at Dubai, your company can get your visa status changed and get a work visa for you. It is easier if you are on a Visit visa rather than tourist visa.

    You can apply for any of these types of visas, depending on the nature of your visit. The documents required to get these Dubai visa types are generally Bio Data Page of your Passport, last page of your Passport, passport size photograph on black and white back drop and residence proof if you are staying in the country which is not the country of your nationality. You may need some additional documents for High-Risk Countries as well.
